ToolBooks – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

ToolBooks is a digital platform that provides accounting, tax, and financial advisory services. Users may input financial information directly or via secure connections to third-party services, including Plaid Inc.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information and to comply with all applicable laws.

3. Use of Plaid

We use Plaid Inc. to collect and share data from financial institutions on your behalf. By using the ToolBooks platform and connecting your bank account, you expressly authorize ToolBooks and Plaid to access and transmit your financial data. This access is subject to Plaid’s End User Services Agreement (https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-services-agreement) and Privacy Policy (https://plaid.com/legal/#privacy-policy). ToolBooks does not store your bank login credentials, and all data is encrypted.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for illegal purposes, interfere with its security, provide false information, or promote fraudulent activity.

5. Fees and Billing

ToolBooks is a paid service unless otherwise specified. All fees are communicated before payment and are subject to change with notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, content, UI, code, and documentation are property of ToolBooks or its licensors. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability

ToolBooks is not liable for errors from third-party services like Plaid, or for damages resulting from use or inability to use the service.

8. Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of third-party services integrated with our platform.

9. Termination

ToolBooks may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of the Terms or applicable law. Users may also terminate their account voluntarily.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of your applicable jurisdiction. Disputes will be resolved through arbitration unless stated otherwise.
